Harrisburg police say they discovered the 30-year-old was involved in the Tuesday evening shooting that led to his injuries.

Harrisburg police say a man shot Tuesday evening in the city has been charged with attempted homicide for his role in the exchange of gunfire.

James D. King, 30, was found with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound around 7:30 p.m. in the area of South 16th and Chestnut streets, according to police. Police said King was taken to a hospital for emergency treatment. The investigation later found that King was involved in the shooting, according to police.

King is charged with attempted homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, prohibited possession of a firearm, and recklessly endangering another person.Anyone with information can call Harrisburg police at 717-558-6900, or submit a tip
