For the fourth year in a row, Oakland has recorded at least 100 homicides with the fatal shooting of a man Friday night.
OAKLAND — The city reached 100 confirmed homicides Friday night with an East Oakland shooting that left a 30-year-old man dead and two other men wounded, one of whom was in grave condition, authorities said.
Police are trying to confirm the name of the man in grave condition at a hospital. The other victim, a 32-year-old man, was treated and released at a hospital.Police said the three men knew each other and were hanging out when they were confronted by at least one other man who began shooting at them.Investigators are trying to confirm a motive for the shooting and determine if all the men were the intended targets. No suspect information was released and no arrests have been made.
