Authorities have publicly identified a 47-year-old man who was fatally injured last week in an East Village crash.
Joseph Taylor, of El Cajon, was walking along 11th Avenue, just north of Broadway, when he fell onto the driveway of an underground parking garage about 8:30 p.m. Friday, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office. Soon after the fall, a driver in a 1999 Toyota Camry turned into the garage and ran Taylor over, pinning him beneath the car’s undercarriage, officials reported.
