Due to the constraints of the space, it's believed the man couldn't free himself.
A man was found dead after falling into a garage pit at his home in York County, according to the coroner's office.It happened Tuesday afternoon in the 1800 block of Detters Mill Road in Washington Township.
The coroner's office said the man had apparently been working earlier in the day around a water valve in the pit. It's unknown if the man had a medical event that caused him to fall, the coroner's office said.The cause of death was determined to be positional asphyxia.The man's name hasn't been released.
