The man was charged with offenses in multiple states after an investigation uncovered his activities.

It looks like an Indiana man can forget ever going wild turkey hunting again in his home state, because in a first-of-its kind decision in the state he has been banned — forever – from doing so., Harrison Pusey, 25, of West Lafayette was sentenced last week in Warren County Court after pleading guilty to multiple charges related to poaching wild turkeys.

That reportedly got him an eight-year hunting license suspension in Pa. and $4,125 in fines. He got a $324 fine and an indefinite suspension in Connecticut, according to the Star, and another $700 in fines to go with a license suspension and probation in Massachusetts. Georgia reportedly fined him $2,335, North Carolina hit him for $278 and Tennessee for $525.

The Star lays out a track record that is, sort of mind-blowing, in that Pusey was apparently piling up violations across the country. It reported the issues began in 2018 with charges that included “criminal trespassing, illegal take of a wild animal, failure to possess a waterfowl stamp and taking a migratory bird above the season limit.”

And, the site said, investigators claimed they turned up evidence of his poaching in the other states, too. Incredibly, they claim that when they searched his home, they found shell casings from his previous hunts, and that he had written the date and state where he used each casing to kill a turkey. The Star said there were 83 casings, dated back to 2012, and that 14 of the casings were dated “within three months of his first hunting suspension in 2019.
