We have now learned that a man is accused of shooting his girlfriend and her ex in a SEPTA subway station on Wednesday night.
A man and a woman were both shot on a SEPTA subway platform in South Philadelphia Wednesday night. At least one person was taken into custody after police say he discarded a gun while running away from the shooting scene.The ordeal began around 9:35 p.m. when both people were on the subway platform on the northbound side at SEPTA’s Broad Street Line Snyder Station.Sign up for NBC Philadelphia newsletters.
"This incident stems from an altercation involving the defendant, his girlfriend, the girlfriend's former boyfriend and two of the former boyfriend's friends in the BSL station," the DA's office said."During the course of the physical altercation, the defendant is alleged to have pulled out and discharged a firearm. The ex-boyfriend was struck in the hip, and the defendant's girlfriend, who was apparently standing behind the ex-boyfriend, was struck in the leg.
