OAKLAND — A man was hospitalized after being shot Wednesday in an East Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.
Shortly before 5:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person shot on the 4800 block of Fairfax Avenue in the city’s Fairfax neighborhood. When officers arrived, they found a man on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to a leg. They provided care until paramedics and Oakland Fire Department firefighters arrived to take over.Police are offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a suspect.
