Authorities arrested a man accused of killing a Baltimore tech CEO, the U.S. Marshals Service said on Thursday.

Jason Billingsley, 32, was arrested at a train station in Bowie, Maryland, late Wednesday, Deputy U.S. Marshal Albert Maresca Jr. said.Pava LaPere, 26, was found dead Monday at her apartment building in Baltimore. LaPere was the founder and CEO of EcoMap Technologies, which makes data maps. She was featured in this year's Forbes 30 Under 30 list for social impact.

Police identified Billingsley as a suspect in the killing and said he is believed to be armed and dangerous. Billingsley was wanted on first-degree murder, assault, reckless endangerment and other charges, police said. Investigators said Billingsley is also wanted in connection with an attempted murder, arson and rape since Sept. 19. Police said evidence gathered through the course of their investigations helped investigators connect Billingsley to both crimes. Detectives are now reviewing all cases since October 2022 to determine if he could be connected to any more, according to police.

Billingsley pleaded guilty to first-degree assault in 2009 and second-degree assault in 2011, according to court records. He also pleaded guilty to a first-degree sex offense in 2015 and was sentenced to 30 years in prison with 16 months already served, the records show.He was released from prison in October 2022.
