Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and his daughter Heather Manchin are working on a $100 million project to boost centrist policies and candidates, according to a new report.
Heather Manchin, a former Fortune 500 CEO, told the Wall Street Journal she registered a politically active nonprofit organization, called Americans Together, in July and plans to hire staff soon. She clarified the group is not linked to her father’s political future, which remains unclear.
The project is not associated with No Labels, the centrist group seeking ballot space for alternatives to Biden and former President Donald Trump if they both become the party’s nominees.
