Mandy Patinkin in Concert: BEING ALIVE takes place Oct. 12 and 14 at the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. The Chicago native, who starred in the film “The Princess Bride” and the TV show “Homeland,” won a Tony for “Evita” and an Emmy for “Chicago Hope.”
Patinkin starred as Saul Berenson in the TV series “Homeland,” which originally aired its eight seasons from 2011 to 2020 on Showtime, and has had roles as varied as Inigo Montoya in the film “The Princess Bride” to an Emmy-winning performance as Jeffrey Geiger on the CBS TV series “Chicago Hope.”Tickets for Mandy Patinkin in Concert: BEING ALIVE went on sale to the general public Aug. 29.
“He’s very candid. He’s very honest. It feels like you’ve got your own private show with Mandy. That’s why I’m so excited for my audience to get to see it. He won’t even do two back-to-back shows to preserve his voice. He wants to make sure his shows are perfect.” Mandy Patinkin in Concert: BEING ALIVE offers an intimate experience at the MAC, which features 780 seats in Belushi Performance Hall.
“He’s Mandy’s preferred pianist of choice and they’ve worked together for many years so he understands ,” Martinez said.
