“That was the quickest, easy pass of criminal justice that I’ve ever had,” Sliwa, 69, said while holding up the document. After learning the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office was declining to prosecute his case, Sliwa – an outspoken critic of City Hall’s handling of the migrant crisis – continued to take pot shots at Mayor Eric Adams.“If there is anyone responsible for the implosion of New York City, Eric Adams is responsible,” he told reporters. “He is the captain of the Titanic.
Sliwa has become the unofficial spokesperson for protests against mass migrant shelters – including one where heoutside the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center in Queens Village.
