Accidents on Loop 410 North and I-35 stretch the morning commute.
A minor crash was causing a major backup of traffic heading north on Interstate 35 at Thousand Oaks Drive on Monday morning, March 27, 2023.If you were having a hectic time getting to work, you weren't alone. Multiple crashes and stalled vehicles appeared to cause several backups on roadways throughout San Antonio.On Loop 410 North at Bandera Road, a minor crash caused a backup in the eastbound lanes from the intersection back to the stretch of highway near Ingram Park Mall.
A minor crash on Interstate 35 south of Thousand Oaks Drive was causing a backup on the northbound lanes as far back as Walzem Road, but has also since been cleared. A disabled vehicle was also the source of backed up traffic at Interstate 35 just south of West Cevallos, heading into downtown from the South Side.
The stop-and-go traffic was set to the backdrop of cloudy skies and isolated drizzle in some parts of the city as people made their way to work and children were dropped off at school.
