The World Health Organization confirmed the presence of an outbreak of the highly-fatal Marburg disease in Equatorial Guinea, with Cameroon reportedly seeing cases as well.

The organization said they were sending experts as well as protective equipment to help officials with the outbreak, which as of Monday had already included nine deaths and 16 suspected cases showing symptoms, including fever, fatigue, diarrhea and vomiting.
The WHO announced the outbreak on Monday. That same day, officials in Cameroon said they found two cases of the virus, according to Reuters.
