I started at Fashionista during New York Fashion Week, which felt more like boot camp, and damn, I was rusty. While I did keep up with industry happenings from the sidelines over the years — my career path to getting here involved some twists and turns and takes far too much time for me to really divulge right now — it was way more different than being logged on and in it like my then-new co-workers.
But here I am. When I tell people how long I've been at Fashionista, it often translates to a lifetime in media years. Nevertheless, the past four years have been one of the most exciting, challenging and rewarding times of my career so far. I've got to cover fashion week not only in New York, but in Moscow, Copenhagen, Tbilisi and Milan .
Of course, none of this would be remotely possible if I wasn't working alongside Fashionista's small but incredibly mighty team — high emphasis on "incredibly mighty" because the way we churn out news, feature stories and silly blog posts all in a day's work is magic.
At the end of the month, I'll be joining Nylon as its fashion editor. I'm very sad to leave but excited for what's next. Thank you for reading all these years and I'll see ya in the posts.Tagsterms:Network
