It has been developed from the namesake Marvel Comics character and is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe , serving as a spin-off to the 2021 series Hawkeye. The plot revolves around Maya Lopez as she returns to her hometown in Oklahoma and encounters new challenges, comes to terms with her familial history, and finds acceptance among her people.
