'We hear you. Accountability must come,' the Republican congressman tweeted Friday, after Lt. Colonel Stuart Scheller said he was relieved from duty.

In the video, he said he wanted demand accountability from senior military leaders over the handling of the situation in Afghanistan.

"I'm not making this video because it's potentially an emotional time. I'm making it because I have a growing discontent and contempt for my perceived ineptitude at the foreign policy level, and I want to specifically ask some questions to some of my senior leaders," he said. On Friday, U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz said he believed a Marine who was relieved of duty after criticizing the U.S. evacuation of Afghanistan would make a better defense secretary than Lloyd Austin.
