Former Indianapolis Colts player Matt Ryan describes his time with the team as a chaotic and unpleasant experience.
After a 15-year career ended with the Colts last season, the now-retired Matt Ryan is unloading some baggage.
“I mean, it was a s–t show, you know, it was a s–t show of 18 months basically is the best way to describe it,” Ryan. “But I think everybody in our family handled it well and came out of it stronger and in a really good spot.” Ryan spent 14 with the Falcons, setting franchise records in nearly every quarterback statistic and winning MVP in 2016, before being traded to Indianapolis in March 2022., left a sour note in his mouth.“It was one of those things, you know, I felt like I was going into it in a position where I’d probably seen it all in 14 years and then realize, ‘No you have not, you have not seen it all,’” Ryan told The Athletic. “There’s a lot of other things that are going to come up.
The veteran quarterback started 12 games for the 4-12-1 Colts last season but was benched for a combination of Nick Foles and Sam Ehlinger toward the end of the season.Saturday, who was an ESPN analyst and a Georgia high school coach at the time of his hiring, did not have any college or NFL coaching experience.Matt Ryan was the Atlanta Falcons’ franchise QB for 14 years.
