"Iona is someone who doesn't come from the same privilege as the other novices. She isn't used to having loads of squires and people helping her and she had to grow up very quickly. She lost her parents when she was younger and it was a massive thing to deal with," Thaddea toldto keep moving forward. She's really determined. She's learned through living and her parents taught her all the skills that she has now. She's a really skilled fighter.
"She's got this incredible connection with animals, which is a really lovely thing cause she finds it quite hard to talk to people. She doesn't have a lot of friends so her connection with animals and nature really comes true. When she meets the novices, I think she realizes what it could be like to have friends and be a part of something."
