Ferly is a sexual wellness app which aims to help users gain a better understanding of their bodies and desires.

Investment comes from a mix of VC and angel funding from leading investors in the UK and the U.S. Currently, the app is only available on iOS, but will be available on Android in 2020.The app includes guided self-pratices, information about the body, a journaling tool to let users write about their feelings and fantasies and erotic audio stories. But Ferly aspires to more than just arousal.
Mindfulness is the practice of being conscious of our actions, behaviours, thoughts, and sensations and focussing our awareness on the present moment. When we apply this to sex, Quinlan explains, it allows people to focus on the pleasure they're receiving in the moment, rather than worrying about what comes next.
She and Hushlak interviewed close to 400 women over a six-month period, and say the same themes kept emerging. Participants spoke of encountering stigma and feeling shame around sex. They said they didn’t feel able to explore their desires or ask for what they needed from their partners. “When we started to test our prototype we were inundated with women asking to provide feedback, to be a part of the process and to get early access,” Quinlan says.
