Marvel Comics signs San Antonio artist behind 'Miles Morales: Spider-Man' to exclusive deal
San Antonio comic book artist Chris Allen has followed Spider-Man’s adventures since he was a kid, tracing Spidey comics with his older brother Curtis in Florida. Now he has the great power and the great responsibility of drawing Spider-Man as an official artist for Marvel Comics.an elite group of illustrators from around the world that the publisher spotlights with exclusive contracts and marketing. Of the artists assembled this year, Allen is the only one in the United States.

Allen speaks from experience. While Marvel promotes its Stormbreakers as the best “up-and-coming” artists in the industry, he has illustrated comics since he was 16.
