The defender has played every minute of every game since being a non-roster invitee during 2022 preseason training camp
Last season, Angel City FC defender Megan Reid went from non-roster invitee to becoming known as the “Ironwoman.”
Reid and Angel City kick off a busy three-game stretch in in nine days Saturday at BMO Stadium against Racing Louisville FC .“For me, it was just trying to make myself a more versatile player,” she said of joining Angel City last season. “I knew there was a chance they might want me to play on the left or the right in the backline, so I just wanted to make sure that I was prepared for any type of change that wanted in me.
Through the first two games, Reid, who was re-signed to a one-year contract through the 2023 season, has again played every minute.
