Meghan Markle's recent comments about love to Pharrell are very telling.
Upon meeting the duchess, Pharrell said: I’m so happy for your union. Love is amazing. Love is beautiful. Don’t ever take that for granted. But what it means in today’s climate, I just wanted to tell you it’s so significant for many of us … we cheer you guys on."The most touching -- and to be honest, kind of sad -- part of the whole exchange, though, was Meghan's response to Pharrell after his thoughtful words.
Chuckling and touching his arm, Meghan leaned into Pharrell and said: “Oh, thank you. They don’t make it easy.” The Duchess of Sussex didn't elaborate, but we can assume she was talking about the constant media scrutiny -- and criticism -- she's been on the receiving end of since theThanks to both the media in general and certain members of her family, Meghan has not had an easy time since joining the royal family.
“Meghan made a huge sacrifice by moving across the pond, away from her mom and friends,” the insider said. “Marrying into the royal family isn’t anywhere near as glamorous as it seems, so in a lot of ways Harry feels responsible for Meghan being so miserable.” Hopefully, now that Harry and Meghan are parents, they have a little perspective and aren't taking things as personally.
