Sending Tylor Megill back to the minors isn’t the only change the Mets are making to their rotation.

Both Megill and Peterson have disappointed in their attempts to stick in the rotation as the Mets have dealt with injuries. Showalter acknowledged the Mets had higher hopes for both pitchers after they showed flashes last season. Jeff McNeil appeared to injure his left wrist while trying to tag Bryson Stott when the Phillies second baseman stole second in the sixth inning.
