Michelle Obama's new book will offer stories and reflections on themes of “change, challenge, and power.”
in 2018, she will be releasing her second book this fall. This time she'll focus on the many lessons she's learned over the last couple of years about adapting to our stressful, ever-changing world.
Obama will share some of the fundamentals she's picked up on how to “adapt to change and overcome various obstacles,” while also “drawing from her experiences as a mother, daughter, spouse, friend, and First Lady.” Such tactics include ideas like “starting kind,” “going high,” and assembling a “kitchen table” of friends, family, and mentors that you can turn to in times of need.
In the introduction of this new book, Obama writes, “I’ve learned it’s okay to recognize that self-worth comes wrapped in vulnerability, and that what we share as humans on this earth is the impulse to strive for better, always and no matter what. We become bolder in brightness. If you know your light, you know yourself. You know your own story in an honest way.
