Emma KeithDETROIT – Michigan will become the first state in the nation to ban flavored e-cigarettes Wednesday in a move Gov. Gretchen Whitmer says is aimed at protecting youth.
The move will ban online and retail sales of sweet, fruity, minty and menthol-flavored vaping products, but will not apply to tobacco flavors, the Post reports. Michigan businesses have 30 days to comply with the order. “My number one priority is keeping our kids safe and protecting the health of the people of Michigan,” Whitmer told the Post.A young ex-athlete was hospitalized with 'a 70-year-old's lungs.'
