In its first home game since the mass shooting on campus, the Michigan State men's basketball team upset No. 17 Indiana.
Tyson Walker made 8 of 15 shots, scoring 12 points over the final 6:12 of the first half as MSU went on a game-changing 22-7 run over the final 6:12. He finished with 23 points, including five 3-pointers, and A.J. Hoggard added 22 points on 8 for 9 shooting.
Joey Hauser added 10 points in the largest scoring output in a conference game this season for the Spartans , who head to Iowa for a game Saturday. Tipoff is noon at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa . Hauser had eight rebounds, Jaxon Kohler grabbed seven boards as MSU owned a 33-24 edge on the boards and had a 17-6 scoring advantage off the bench thanks to 10 points and five boards from Malik Hall. Hoggard and Walker also combined for nine assists as the Spartans went 10 for 21 from 3-point range.
Trayce Jackson-Davis had 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Indiana . Jalen Hood-Schifino added 16 points, and Trey Galloway scored 11.
