CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash on State Route-21 and Halperns Way that left a 43-year-old Middleburg woman dead Wednesday.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. and involved two vehicles. The 43-year-old woman was traveling in a sedan and was attempting to turn onto SR-21. A van driven by a 64-year-old woman was stopped at the intersection.The woman in the van was uninjured but the 43-year-old woman was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased. FHP says her death might have been related to a medical event that was not caused by the crash.
