One of the suspects in a brutal attack on two NYPD officers was indicted by a grand jury on Tuesday, while several of the migrants that were arrested in last week's attack and released without bail were reportedly caught Monday in Phoenix, Arizona.Currently, Yohenry Brito is the only suspect to have been arrested and held on bail in connection to the assault and was in court in connection to two prior misdemeanor charges. He is also the only suspect to have been indicted so far.
Authorities believe four migrants left New York by bus for California. It’s not clear if some or all of them were the ones taken into custody in Phoenix.According to police, as many as 14 people could've been involved in the attack.Surveillance video showed five men and two police officers calmly interacting on camera. It appeared to be an ordinary exchange until the pair of officers attempted to take down one of the men in yellow.
