Millie also spoke about the experiences that many young female stars before her have gone through, and their constant struggle to win in the court of public opinion — either being sexualized before adulthood or being chastised for acting “too adult.” Thestar recalled a time she was “crucified” for wearing a low-cut dress to a red carpet event.

This isn’t the first time that Millie Bobby Brown has been vocal about her frustrations with the inappropriate public perception and treatment towards her. In 2020, after turning 16, Millie took to Instagram to address the scrutiny she faces from both the media and the public, posting a mash-up video of different targeted headlines.
