$11.2 million already approved for city-sponsored summer programsThe mayor announced this investment last month. The city council approved the $8.9 million primarily in May and some ordinances in early June.
“We knew that based on what we’re seeing, we had to do things differently," said Mayor Ginther, Columbus. These groups will need to submit documentation to the city about their successes and how they used the money.
