Police received a missing juvenile report about a girl who is thought to have fled from her parents and traveled to Chico with an adult man, who was reportedly wanted for a felony in LA.
CHICO — Officers with the Chico Police Department arrested a man around noon Wednesday who was accompanied by a missing girl in a camp at upper Bidwell Park, according to a department press release.
Police said they arrested 23-year-old Rory Murga on suspicion of an outstanding warrant. According to the release, officers allegedly found him with a 16-year-old girl reported missing by the Orange Police Department in Orange County. Police received a missing juvenile report Tuesday night about a girl who is thought to have fled from her parents and traveled to Chico with Murga, who was reportedly wanted for a felony, no-bail warrant issued by Los Angeles County Court.
Chico police said they received information the girl and Murga were camping along the cliff edge of the north-rim portion of upper Bidwell Park between Bear Hole and the power lines.
