'I hope it really takes people into this other universe,' frontwoman Mandy Lee says of the upcoming LP.MisterWives embarks on their next chapter with the arrival of the single "their untitled third studio album, the followup to caught up with frontwoman Mandy Lee to talk about signing with FBR, after a long tenure with Photo Finish Records. “The energy feels matched,” Lee says.
When we left our label years later, they were the first people that reached out and I was like, "I don't care what the deal is, I really respect you guys." They don't feel like a label -- it really feels like a family. [I also had some major] life changes. This has been one of the hardest years of my life [personally], but I've been the most thankful for music again. You get caught up, and it was nice to forget about all of that noise [and use] music to help get me through it. This year has been a rollercoaster of emotions -- I feel like I have died and come back to life multiple times. I was very broken, and [music has] pieced me back together and given me purpose for it again.
