The 2023 Home Run Derby is Monday at 5 p.m. and will be held at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, site of the All-Star Game.Primary coverage of the 2023 Home Run Derby will be shown on ESPN. Alonso and Rodriguez are the only players who participated in last year's Home Run Derby. Alonso won the derby in 2019 and 2021. Only Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. has won the Home Run Derby three times.For the second consecutive year. the Los Angeles Angels' two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani is skipping the Home Run Derby.
At the end of each round competitors will be awarded a 30-second bonus, and they can earn an additional 30 seconds if they hit two home runs of 440 or more feet as measured by StatCast.The players were seeded and the competition will start off with these matchupsNo. 1 Robert vs. No. 8 Rutschman No. 2 Alonso vs. No. 7 Rodríguez No. 3 Betts vs. No. 6 Guerrero No. 4 García vs. No. 5 Arozarena , Alonso is the favorite to take home a third Home Run Derby trophy.
