Widespread music festivals with bright stage production in long, rolling feilds are cool and all, but electronic dance music is an urban sound. Its beats are the rhythm of struggling worker bees pounding pavement to make a buck. It's a buzzy energy that flows through the neon night, and Los Angeles' Secret Project festival honors those metropolitan roots by bringing some of the best house and techno DJs to the busy streets of the city's Chinatown district.
