Tim Jackson is retiring from the Monterey Jazz Festival after more than 30 years.
Yet, the longtime artistic director isn’t leaving until after he enjoys one more great lineup that he booked for the festival. Here are 5 acts that Jackson recommends for music fans to hear at the 65th annual Monterey Jazz Festival, which runs Sept. 22-24 at the Monterey County Fairgrounds.
