Spill their blood and guts, and FINISH THEM!

The most disgusting and memorable part of any fight in Mortal Kombat 1 is the brutal Fatality, a finishing move that all characters have, but some of these gore-soaked executions need to be unlocked. When you take down your opponent in this game, you have five short seconds to enter a complex input after hearing the announcer. While each fighter and Kameo comes with one finisher available, the rest must be found.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT There are two Fatalities per main roster character and one finisher for every Kameo fighter in Mortal Kombat 1, the secondary combatant that can help you out during a fight. Not to be confused with Brutalities, which are also locked at the start, a Fatality usually consists of three or four motion inputs followed quickly by one button. These sequences are different for every character, making them difficult to remember.

How to Get Every Fatality in Mortal Kombat 1 The easiest way to unlock Fatalities is to input the secret input of the second finisher for a character, progress the Character Mastery gauge, or play the game to meet multiple challenge goals. Every roster fighter in Mortal Kombat 1 encourages you to learn more about how they play with a gauge that increases the more matches you do with them. Almost like leveling up with a character, simply using them enough times unlocks a Fatality.

Keep in mind that every character can only perform certain Fatalities at a certain distance away from their staggered opponent, measured by Far, Mid, or Close. Those who unlock every Fatality in Mortal Kombat 1 have an excellent opportunity to unleash the full carnage offered in the New Era with their favorite returning characters to this ultra-violent franchise.
