PLACER COUNTY – Crews on Friday caught a break as they continued to battle the Mosquito Fire raging in Placer and El Dorado counties.
As of 9:50 p.m. Friday, the fire covered 29,585 acres and was 0 percent contained, according to Cal Fire. “What did that mean for today?” Scott asked the audience. “No large fire growth. No giant column. No picture on Facebook at the end of the day that looked like a volcano going off.
