Deputies were alerted to the case Friday when Rogers, the boy’s mother, brought him to a hospital, Salazar said. Rogers brought the baby in because he was “lethargic” and had a fever, Salazar said. When the baby arrived at a North Side hospital, doctors observed several other injuries, said Salazar, who was visibly distressed during the briefing, saying the abuse “boggles the mind” and calling the wanted suspect a “monster.”
Corey Alexander Berry, 25, is wanted by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office in connection with a case of severe abuse involving a 5-month-old boy.The baby suffered six to eight fractured ribs, bite marks to the face, marks in the mouth due to forceful bottle feeding and a fractured wrist, along with bruises and other injuries, the sheriff said. Hospital staff also found the boy had traces of THC in his blood.
