At approximately 3:12 p.m. Monday, the Kane County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a crash with injuries at the entrance to Kaneland High School at 47W326 Keslinger Road, sheriff’s officials said in a press release.
The initial investigation indicates that a gray Subaru was exiting out of the parking lot when it collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle, according to the release.
The collision caused the driver of the motorcycle to be ejected from the vehicle, officials said. After lifesaving attempts at the scene, the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead, according to the release.The driver of the Subaru was transported to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva, officials said.
Officials with the Kane County Sheriff’s Office said the driver of the motorcycle will be identified publicly when next of kin have been notified. The driver of the Subaru’s information is also being withheld by officials pending further investigation, according to the release. The investigation is continuing into the fatal crash, officials said.
