The motorcyclist’s name was not released as of Tuesday morning, pending confirmation of his identity and notification of his next of kin. Police said he was a Livermore man in his 30s.
The collision happened about 4:50 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of North Mines Road and Shirley Way. Police said the Honda was making a left turn onto Shirley Way. Apparently the driver did not see the motorcycle and failed to yield before hitting it.The driver of the SUV, a Livermore resident in her early 60s, was not hurt, police said.
