During some screenings of Creed 3, the boxing brawls are becoming a little too real as actual fistfights break out among audience members.

Multiple Creed 3 screenings in Europe have been disrupted due to real audience brawls breaking out during the Michael B. Jordan-directed sequel. After the success of the first two Creed movies, released in 2015 and 2018, Jordan, who stars as Adonis himself, steps behind the camera for the boxer's third outing. The latest sequel, which has earned strong reviews from critics and been a box office hit, sees Adonis facing off against childhood friend Damian Anderson .

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY According to a new report from Deadline, the fighting sequences in Creed 3 are becoming a little too real for some audiences in French and German movie theaters. About a dozen disturbances were reported by the media in France, causing some independent cinemas to pull the movie from their schedules. While these brawls were generally isolated audience incidents, one screening at a Kinepolis cinema in Thionville broke out into a mass brawl.

Social media has played an important role in the way some audiences consume movies these days. Last year, for example, Minions: The Rise of Gru screenings caused flocks of young men to dress up in suits to watch the film. While this, in itself, wasn't an issue, some of the teenagers who engaged in the trend were rowdy and disrupted their screenings, leading some theaters to deny entry to anyone in formal clothing.

Although there doesn't seem to be any sort of larger social media challenge involving movie theater fighting during Creed 3, it's hard to imagine that social media hasn't played some sort of role in the incidents. Video of one mass brawl that was reported, after all, did end up going viral. Hopefully, these incidents involving Creed 3 screenings truly are isolated, and audiences around the world can enjoy the third installment in the thrilling and emotional franchise in peace.
