My Ex-Friend's Wedding, an upcoming comedy movie starring Amanda Seyfried, has been delayed due to the WGA writer's strike.
“I mean, we’ve got to collectively win these strikes, and then I can tell you something about it,” said Seyfried at the premiere of her new Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room. “But I can’t now because it’s way too funny, and we’re not shooting it right now.” She expressed anticipation about returning to a comedic role, saying, “Back to my roots, you know? I’m so excited.”
The film follows four childhood friends who receive a voicemail from their former best friend the night before her wedding. Drunk, she admits she’s making a mistake by tying the knot. The four friends go off on an adventure to stop the wedding and reunite with their former friend.Seyfried’s next movie will be My Ex-Friend’s Wedding, but her next project will be The Crowded Room. This is a period psychological thriller miniseries starring Tom Holland, Seyfried, and Emmy Rossum.
