A Truck Series veteran will step in for him behind the wheel while he recovers.
“Noah’s health is the highest of priorities and we commend him for making the decision to sit out this weekend,” Maury Gallagher and Jimmie Johnson, team co-owners, said. “We are appreciative that Grant was available and willing to step in since the Truck Series is off this weekend.”
Gragson, a rookie, is 32nd in points this season with a best finish of 12th at the Atlanta Motor Speedway earlier this year. Enfinger, however, is faring better on the Truck Series, with a pair of wins under his belt this season. It will be his first career start in the NASCAR Cup Series.
