International buyers snapped up $59 billion of homes from April 2021 to March 2022, ending a three-year decline, according to a report by the National Association of Realtors.
The median price that foreign buyers paid — $366,100 — was the highest recorded by the organization, which based its report on an online survey conducted from April 11 through May 9 of about 1,101 members with international clients. Florida was a hot spot, with 24 percent of purchases. California was next at 11 percent, Texas at 8 percent, Arizona at 7 percent, and New York and North Carolina at 4 percent each.
