He previously served as one of four co-chairs of the committee, and now serves as its sole leader. It’s tasked with setting the tone of messaging for the caucus. Neguse noted the recent election, when Democrats tied legislation on gun safety, infrastructure, and climate change — the first two being bipartisan bills — to their electoral hopes.
