BREAKING: A preliminary 7.1 magnitude earthquake rocks Southern California.
A new powerful earthquake shook Southern California late Friday, one day after a 6.4 magnitude earthquake rocked the region on the Fourth of July.
The quake shook Dodger Stadium in the middle of Friday's baseball game. California Gov. Gavin Newsom approved an emergency proclamation for Kern County, which encompasses Ridgecrest, a city that experienced the brunt of the damage.
