According to the new policy, anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by someone 21 or older to enter the mall after 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Westfield Garden State Plaza shopping center is putting a chaperone policy in place for anybody 17 and under after several incidents. FOX 5 NY's Ashley Rodriguez got some reactions from shoppers.
The announcement comes after several reports of disruptive behavior and fighting inside the mall on weekends.
