DC expands its Flash Family line.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Two of the Flash Family’s most underrated speedsters are getting a brand-new series to show what they’re capable of. Speed Force, an upcoming title from DC Comics, will showcase two young heroes as they set out on a new adventure.
In an exclusive announcement from Comics Beat, DC revealed a new book that will star two surprising members of the Flash Family. Jarrett Williams and Daniele Di Nicuolo are teaming up for Speed Force, a series starring Kid Flash Wallace ‘Ace’ West and Avery Ho, the Flash of China. Big details on the series are being kept under wraps, but the solicited information reveals that “mysterious changes” are occurring within the powerful phenomenon that powers DC’s speedsters, the Speed Force. Wallace and Avery are going to take on new challenges to figure out what’s happening with the Speed Force as they forge a bold new path for themselves.
For the first time, though, both Kid Flash and the Flash of China will be anchoring their own book. While the exact problems occurring within the Speed Force are unknown so far, it could have something to do with the new glitching power Wally experienced in The Flash #800. The Speed Force problems may also be related to the existence of new speedster Judy Garrick, who suddenly reappeared in the central DC timeline, as seen in the recent Stargirl: The Lost Children miniseries.
DC’s Next-Gen Speedsters Finally Get a Chance to Shine These speedsters might be young, but they’ve learned a lot from the original Scarlet Speedsters. Fixing an aberration with the Speed Force could serve as an opportunity for Ace and Avery to prove themselves to the Flash Family and the rest of the DC Universe. Fans can see them take on this new challenge in Speed Force #1, available November 14th from DC Comics.
