staring Monday, the collection will also include a book and limited edition art prints based entirely on Cobain’s original artwork. Additional products and retail partners are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Those behind the collection state that Cobain’s artwork has not been edited on the garments, noting that “all varying line weights were not adjusted so the customer can experience the fluidity and potent subject matter as it was intended.”, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the emotional health of and preventing suicide among teens and young adults. Prices for items in the collection range from $39 from a T-shirt to $69 for a hoodie.
Though Cobain's image has been used on merchandise for many years since his death, Kurt Was Here is the first official collection to use his paintings, drawings, journal entries, and sculptures.
