New Mexico State University canceled the rest of its men’s basketball season after a player reported to campus police that three of his teammates had been hazing him in locker rooms for months, according to the university and a campus police report.
University officials on Sunday called off the season with five games left after reviewing the hazing accusations. The police report said offenses included harassment, false imprisonment and criminal sexual contact. No criminal charges have been filed.
